The MFD provides real-time embedded computing, graphics generation, operator controls and high-resolution display for rugged military applications.
IEE’s highly-intuitive active matrix liquid crystal display (AMLCD) features an anti-reflective, anti-glare treatment as well as a selectable dual-mode backlight that provides sunlight-readable operation during the day and NVIS-compatible operation at night.
Mr. James Lawson, president of Vdot Systems, noted, “IEE’s ability to quickly provide us with prototype models, and respond to our feedback, definitely helped facilitate the delivery of our completed MFD to the customer. Good business comes from good partnerships and good product. With IEE, we’re fortunate enough to get both in one package.”
Thomas Whinfrey, president of IEE, said, “When you work with true professionals who help bring a project to completion, it makes for a win-win situation. Vdot Systems understands the process it takes for us to get prototypes into their hands quickly. Working together, we can get it done right the first time, and the end user is the one who truly benefits.”
The L-159 aircraft family is used to conduct a variety of air-to-air, air-to-ground and reconnaissance missions in both day and night operations.
